Please join us for a captivating, inspiring evening with author and activist Andy Parker. He will discuss his work For Alison. Bring your questions and prepare to be "wow"ed by this book and this grieving father's fight for justice. On A ugust 26, 2015, the lives of Andy and Barbara Parker changed forever when their daughter Alison, a journalist for WDBJ7, was murdered on live television near Roanoke, Virginia. While his emotions were still raw, Andy vowed on national television to do “whatever it takes” to end gun violence in America. The phrase turned into a national rallying cry to fight for life-saving firearms policies. Since then, he has traveled across the country to speak on behalf of ballot initiatives and pro "gun sense" political candidates. Andy has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, and international outlets and has been a contributor to the Huffington Post, Time, Newsweek, Washington Post, USA Today, and New York Daily News. Event date: Tuesday, July 16, 2019 - 6:30pm Event address: 1312 East Cary Street Fountain Bookstore Richmond, VA 23219
