Bruce Beasley 

Bruce Beasley is a professor of English at Western Washington University in Bellingham, and the author of eight collections of poems. His most recent books, from both BOA Editions, are Theophobia (2012) and All Soul Parts Returned (forthcoming September 2017). Wesleyan University Press published his books Spirituals (1988) and Signs and Abominations (2000). Beasley's other books have won three national competitions: the 1996 Colorado Prize (selected by Charles Wright) for Summer Mystagogia; the 1993 Ohio State University Press/Journal Award (for The Creation); and the University of Georgia Press Contemporary Poetry Series Award for Lord Brain (2005). Beasley has won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Artist Trust, and his recent work appears in journals including The Yale Review, Kenyon Review, Southern Review, New England Review, and others.
