Mark Hainds 

Mark was raised as the sixth generation on a small, diversified farm in Missouri. He is a lifelong hunter, fisher, and trapper. Mark has lived and worked in Alabama and Georgia since he started an MS program in Forest Biology from Auburn University in 1992. He has worked since 1995 as a Research Associate with Auburn University and Research Coordinator for The Longleaf Alliance. His professional career has mainly focused on the restoration of the longleaf pine ecosystem, with much of his research focused on artificial regeneration of longleaf pine and understory restoration of native herbaceous species.
