Jim Noles 

Jim Noles is an author and attorney in Birmingham, Alabama, where he practices environmental law with the law firm Balch & Bingham LLP when not writing or trying to keep his two boys from dismantling their home. Jim is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Texas School of Law. He attends church at St. Mary's On-The-Highlands Episcopal Church and a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Humanities Foundation His most recent book is A Pocketful of History: Four Hundred Years of America -- One State Quarter at a Time (Da Capo Press: 2008). Other recent books include Twenty-Three Minutes to Eternity: The Final Voyage of the Escort Carrier USS Liscome Bay (University of Alabama Press: 2004).
