Elaine returns to us with her new novel. She's a marvelous guest and it's looking to be a great conversation starter! Please join us! "Set in the late 1950s in North Carolina and Nigeria, Swimming Between Worlds is an original and important novel certain to take its place in American literature on race. The narrative unfolds with urgency and power, in graceful prose rich in sensuous detail. This is Elaine Orr's third book to explore her experience living 'deeply in two countries'--in the words of her central character Tacker; this is her finest work to date."--Angela Davis-Gardner, author of Plum Wine Elaine Neil Orr is a professor of English at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, where she teaches world literature and creative writing.
