Ready Player Two: Women Gamers and Designed Identity with Shira Chess Event date: Thursday, November 9, 2017 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm A timely look at the implicit biases in video games as they construct and define feminine identity, Shira Chess uses the concept of “Player Two” to examine the assumptions implicit in video games designed for women and how they have impacted gaming culture and the larger society. Ready Player Two presents important arguments about how gamers and game developers must change their thinking about both women and games to produce better games, better audiences, and better industry practices. This is a Charis Circle event in collaboration with the Georgia Tech Dear Games Feminist Video Games Project. The suggested donation is $5. Event address: 1189 Euclid Ave. NE Charis Books and More Atlanta, GA 30307
