Though he has many books, Jesus and the Disinherited, published in 1949, offers wisdom that we all need as we seek to live into God’s justice and love today. Dr. Lerita Coleman Brown, spiritual director and writer, will lead this Spiritual Learning Community for Kirkwood United Church of Christ and Charis Books/Charis Circle. We invite anyone who is interested in the relationship of inner silence/contemplation and social justice work to participate. People of all faiths including secular humanists are welcome to attend and share. Although this is a four part educational series you do not have to attend all four parts, nor do you have to have read any Howard Thurman before attending.
