About Venue
Quail Ridge Books & Music is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and specializes in fine literature for adults and children, with a special focus on the South.
Bridging the Divide Book Club - September Meeting The club's goal is to foster dialog and better understanding between people with different political viewpoints and to provide a safe space for civil discourse on controversial or divisive topics. There will be several moderators whose viewpoints span the political spectrum: left, right and neutral. The book selections will also be chosen to represent issues and viewpoints across the political spectrum. The aim of each discussion is to promote understanding ... “Ah, now I understand how they can think that!” ... rather than convince anyone of a particular point of view. The group plans to meet the first Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. This month's discussion takes place Wednesday, September 6, at 7 pm. The book for discussion is How Culture Shapes the Climate Change Debate by Andrew Hoffman, moderated by Rob Christensen of the Raleigh News & Observer. This book is not eligible for our Book Club discount. Event date: Wednesday, September 6, 2017 - 7:00pm Event address: North Hills 4209-100 Lassiter Mill Road Raleigh, NC 27609
