Carole Ann Borges author of Dreamseeker's Daughter Start: 02/02/2013 2:00 pm Book signing with author and Knoxvillian Carole Ann Borges reading and discussing Dreamseeker's Daughter ~ a Nautical memoir. While living aboard an old schooner bound for the South Sea Islands, a charming but eccentric family learns about life, love, and the true meaning of adventure. It is a watery Angela’s Ashes. It is David Sedaris meets Tugboat Annie. Full of Zen-like wisdom and heartwarming dysfunction, Dreamseeker’s Daughter will make you laugh, but it will also make you weep. The characters in this book rival the ones Mark Twain met on the Mississippi River. Borges gives us a picture of America in the 1950s through the eyes of an outsider. It is an inspiring story that teaches us to remember that chasing our dreams is what life is all about. Carole Borges is a widely published author. Her book Disciplining the Devil’s Country was published by Alice James Press. Her poems and short stories have appeared in a number of literary journals including, Poetry, Soundings East, Piedmont Review and Kalliope.
