One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of Gambia

  Request this author
This beautiful non-fiction picture book tells the story of Gambian woman Isatou Ceesay, who found a way to recycle the hundreds of plastic bags that littered her community. We are proud to partner with Upcycle Creative Reuse Center for a special pre-author activity. Reduce your waste by reusing plastic bags to make plarn (plastic yarn)! UpCycle Creative Reuse Center & the Del Ray Yarn Bombers will be on hand to teach you how to crochet and make pompoms with plarn. We'll bring lanyard hooks and key rings so you can put your plarn creations to use.
