Bob Kealing

Thanks for stopping by. I'm happy to announce the rights my book Life of the Party have been purchased by Sony Pictures to star Sandra Bullock and Tate Taylor to direct. The project is in development. In July, Crown Archetype published my revised and updated version of the Brownie Wise/Tupperware story, distributed by Penguin Random House. 2017 will bring the release of my next University Press of Florida book on Elvis Presley's early barnstorming days in and around Florida: "Elvis Ignited, The Rise of an Icon in Florida. In 1956, his most crucial and transformative year, Presley played more live shows in Florida than any other state. There are many other crucial Florida connections to this iconic performer's moonshot to fame. Film and TV rights are currently available. My 2013 book, Calling Me Home, Gram Parsons and the Roots of Country Rock was named by the influential British music magazine Uncut, to its Best Books list. Check out Gram Parsons Derry Down, the state historic site for which research on this book was the catalyst.
