Mary Jane Holt

Mary Jane Holt retired early from a nursing career in 1986 to respond to a lifelong yearning to "just write." She began a weekly award-winning newspaper column that very year and founded a community health magazine in 1988 which she published for 12 years. She has been honored by Georgia Press Association, The American Heart Association; The Mental Health Association and The Carter Center for her efforts to educate the public about health matters and help reduce the stigma of mental illness. Today, as a motivational speaker and community liaison for Alpha Internal Medicine in Fayetteville, GA, she still aspires to this calling! She travels widely and is working on a sequel to Malignant EMOTION, her fourth book. Ten percent of the author's proceeds from Malignant EMOTION go to The Breast Cancer Survivor's Network.
