Barbara J. Peters

I was born in Long Island, New York but have called Georgia my home for the last twenty-four years. My two grown daughters, four grandchildren, husband, and a Shih Tzu named GingerLily are the loves of my life. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from C.W. Post College of Long Island University, a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Stony Brook University, and earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Georgia State University. I am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and a member of The Licensed Professional Counselors of Georgia. Writing is my avocation. My career is centered around counseling couples, and the two books I have written are a result of my interactions with the many couples who come to me. My first book "The Gift of a Lifetime, Building a Marriage that Lasts," provides couples with essential tools they can use to literally make the difference in their relationship between having a second honeymoon or seeking a divorce attorney. "He Said, She Said, I Said - 7 Keys to Relationship Success" is my second book in which I focus directly on the issues of communication, trust, forgiveness, intimacy, acceptance, friendship, and love from three perspectives - the man's, the woman's, and mine (the counselor's).
