Karen Reynolds 

Karen Reynolds lives in Wilkesboro, NC with her husband David. She is the Executive Director of Wilkes Playmakers, Inc. in North Wilkesboro, NC. A SAG actress, both she and her husband are represented by Talent One in Raleigh, NC (actors resumes @ talentone.net). Her play, "Tom Dooley - A Wilkes County Legend", is now in its 11th season. The cast has been invited to perform the courtroom scene in Greensboro, NC at the North Carolina Governor's Conference on Tourism in 2003. The group was also invited to perform for the NC Supreme Court Society of Historians at their Annual Meeting in Raleigh, NC in 2004. The show won a Paul Green Multi Media Award from The North Carolina Society of Historians in 2002 and the first publication of this novel under the name "Tom Dooley - A Wilkes County Legend", won a Cox Historial Fiction Award in 2003 from the Society. The entire project, encompassing the play, book and soundtrack by local artisits also won their highest honor, The President's Award in 2004. The outdoor drama is a proud member of The Institute of Outdoor Drama at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Reynolds has written six plays, "Tom Dooley - A Wilkes County Legend", "The Scarlett O'Hara Complex", "Circling the Wagons", "Shadow Dancing", an adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Caro"l and a second outdoor Drama - "Moonshine & Thunder - The Junior Johnson Story".
