This Fall and Winter, David is speaking at several regional and national events to support SOUL ENCHILADA and BLACK HOLE SUN, due in the Spring from HarperCollins. If your indie bookstore is near one of the events listed, he would love to do a signing for you.

David Macinnis Gill is the author of the debut novel, Soul Enchilada from Greenwillow/Harper Collins. His stories have appeared in several magazines, and his critical biography, Graham Salisbury: Island Boy, was published by Scarecrow Press. He holds a bachelor's degree in English/creative writing and a doctorate in education, both from the University of Tennessee.

David is the past President of ALAN (The Assembly on Literature for Adolescents) and an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. A former high school teacher, David lives on the North Carolina coast with his wife and children, fourteen fish, two rescued dogs, and a nocturnal marsupial.
