Cree Forman

Cree Forman was born near Mauldin,SC, in 1925 in the house her Dad, a farmer, built for his family of seven children. Today, that small wooden house still stands, next to a large condominium complex, on the road between Mauldin and Conestee. She is happy to have experienced the best and the worst of years - the Great Depression - "what stories to tell!" and she is proud to say, "those rough times made me the strong person I am today." Since she began writing at the age of 69 to complete her husband's cookbook, established her self-publishing business at 78, and has traveled extensively, Cree has published two books on France. She continues to write while "out there" selling the books herself and her third book (her stories) is due out in 2009. Her 4th and 5th books are in progress - one - a True Crime. Cree does not speak French but enjoys speaking to high school and college French and English Classes about provincial France and its culture. She loves talking to all age groups from 5th grade on through middle school, as well as Senior's Groups, about her growing up years and other topics. Cree speaks on her writing life and "What Writing Can Do for You." Another subject she talks on is: "My Journey Into Writing and Self-publishing."
